JAMES CARTWRIGHT (“BILLY”)

James Cartwright is one of the UK's most exciting young screen actors and has just (October 2007) won the prestigious Royal Television Society Award - Best Actor - for his performance in the title role of the BBC drama “Johnny Shakespere”.

On stage, James played “Timms” in the National Theatre's hit production of “History Boys” by Alan Bennett and television audiences will recognise him from the highly successful “Casualty”, “Doctors” and “Tracey Beaker Series” on BBCTV.

This is the first time James will play the role of “Billy” but he knows the play extremely well as it was written by his father, Jim!
